FolioPA ("FolioPA", "we", "us") is a personal document assistant that helps you collect, read, summarise, file and ask questions about your household and business paperwork. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and your rights over it.
The data controller is FolioPA, operated by Justin Morris. You can reach us at contact@foliopa.com [add postal address before public launch].
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
To read and summarise your documents and answer your questions, the relevant document content is sent to Anthropic (the maker of the Claude AI models). Anthropic processes this content to provide the service; under Anthropic's commercial terms it is not used to train their models.
We share data only with the providers needed to run FolioPA:
These providers may process data in the UK, EU or US under appropriate safeguards.
FolioPA's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We use Google data only to provide and improve FolioPA's document features, do not transfer it except as needed to provide the service or as required by law, and do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.
Your data is encrypted in transit and stored with the providers above. We apply access controls so that documents are only accessible within your own workspace(s). We keep your data while your account is active and delete it when you delete your account or ask us to (subject to any legal retention obligations).
Your documents remain your own. You can open and download them from within FolioPA at any time, and any documents you file to Google Drive stay in your own Google Drive. Under UK data protection law you also have the right to access, correct, delete, export or restrict the use of your data, and to withdraw consent. To request a full copy (export) of your data, or to delete your account and everything in it, email contact@foliopa.com. You can disconnect Google access at any time from your Google account, and you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you have concerns.
We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and run the app. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
FolioPA is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change and material changes will be notified where appropriate.
